About Gapo International Market

Located at 3829 W Gate City Blvd Ste E, Greensboro, NC 27407, Gapo International Market operates as an asian grocery store serving Greensboro in North Carolina. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as fresh food market, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

Store size varies enormously, from a small corner grocery with a few aisles to a full supermarket chain location in Greensboro with a bakery, seafood counter and food court under one roof. Sales and promotions are often posted in-store or in a weekly flyer rather than online, so prices listed on a website may be out of date. Seafood markets sell live and on-ice product and can usually clean or prepare fish on request for a small fee. Specialty food stores in North Carolina may focus narrowly on one category, like a butcher, a rice and dry goods shop, or an import store, so calling ahead to confirm stock for a specific item saves a wasted trip.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 10 am–9 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Gapo International Market at (336) 299-3774; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Customers rate it 4.6 out of 5 on Google across 75 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded asian grocery stores in Greensboro.

Greensboro is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Greensboro is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Very small store and crowded isles. I expected the store to be a bit bigger but it looks like it was an old liquor store with about 4 short isles. It was a very awkward experience for me, the man was very friendly and respectful but that lady that is there with the baby was not. Her and her baby blocked the very last isle, right in the middle of the isle, and glared at me like she didn’t want me to go down the aisle. Very rude and unnecessary behavior, especially if you want repeated customers. I got some cool home made items there (I like to support small businesses) but I don’t think I would be back and I would not recommend to anyone. Treat others how you want to be treated is all I have to say.

The first time I went there, I was treated so well that I decided to return instead of going to the African store I used to visit. When I went back the second time, I was even more impressed. Looks like this might become my new go-to spot!

I used to like coming here until a young man and a small boy started working here and being rude. They didn’t greet or say thank you. Just collect your payment and that’s it. Mama and papa (owners)are nice but those two others don’t need to be there if they’re going to be rude to the customers. I never return til this day and I was going to suggest someone to come shop there until I thought about those two peopleπŸ‘ŽπŸ½πŸ‘ŽπŸ½πŸ‘ŽπŸ½

They have all your needs for African dishes. 4 star because of how clumsy and tight the place is. I hope they work on that
